Flamingos represent and symbolize balance, grace and beauty and the pink flamingos are considered as a symbol of innocence and teach us to have confidence. This piece reflects the beauty of the this innocence as they take their first flight.
Original Song
A gentle and elegant lullaby dedicated to Fitz and to all the children born into the JBD family. This features John on guitar, pedal steel, and mandola, Brent on cello, and Dan on the keyboards.
This piece grew when Brent first took it to John's studio and played several scorching guitar takes. Brent took the music home and employed his favorite in-house technique, the "slice 'n dice." By cutting together little bits of John's guitar tracks. Brent even took a solo on guitar in the bridge.
Inspiration for Water came from contemplating this life-giving substance as it journeys from the morning to late dusk, the travel from high mountains to the ocean. This piece was written in 3 movements.
